Developing Courses

Like all the other teachers in the worId I have been hard at work since mid-March writing new procedures and making video lessons for my classes at the two schools  where I have been teaching this year. I don't need to travel from home to two different schools each day. That has been a blessing.  I discovered that I like creating videos lessons, talking on camera and setting up my Google Classrooms. So much so, that I am building a couple of courses for my own workshops.  I have two Photo-Painting courses in the works. One is for the iPad and the other is for  Adobe Photohop. Both show you how to create meaningful art from your own photographs.
Art making should help you express yourself. Don't waste time using other people's images.
In the classes, I show you how to use your own old photos or new ones that you capture for the course.
I make the instruction short and to the point and give you the opportunity to create with me by your side in the form discussions on each assignment.
In addition to teaching, I sell my art through retailers like Art.com and Amazon Canvas.
I also do studio art workshops in summer.
Leave me a message if you would like to be notified when the courses are available.

In my professional life I am foremost an artist. I am happiest when making something. I love to "try things out" and create prototypes until I hit on something that "works"
I hope that devotion to to my art rubs off on my students.
I love to teach creative concepts and give students the skills to develop their style and unique way to make a mark in this ever increasingly buzzing world! I have a BA degree in Fine Art and a certification in Web design.  I won my first art award in 1980 and have exhibited work in New York and Baltimore.  Several pieces of my art have been published in literary journals, including  "The Red Anthology" by Indigo Press.
I was honored to be the first recipient of a grant that allowed me to travel to France to study the masters. I love the light captured in impressionist paintings. Being able to see the work of Monet and visit Giverny was an important turning point in my understanding of painting.
