The painting measures 24 x 30 inches and is on 1 and 3/4 stretchers making it substantial and sturdy. It is wired and ready to hang.
I was inspired by the designs I have been creating in my recent bottle painting, going back to my love of pattern and color. I’m always inspired by Alphonse Mucha and Art Nouveau. Some of that peeks through in this work. I tried to capture the jewel like tones of colored glass with opaque forms to balance it out.
