I like to photograph what is close by and familiar. My home ,work and the drive in between. I am ultimately simple. If it's not around me it is out of reach. I am too busy and underfunded to go anywhere and I have always tried to make do with what I've got.

I am interested in digital media. I am investigating the lens , looking into it with a slow shutter speed in low light. It is almost an entity into itself. I am trying to devour it by looking at it  but it captures me instead. I am looking into the lens and it is recording the light. Just recording the light that is all the camera can do , but turn it around and let it it take you.

I use a process I call photo-subtractive drawing. I begin with a digital photo and ad a drawing layer. I then use tools to subtract areas of the image. Sometimes the process leads me to add color and line. My subjects are the commonplace mostly, what is around me. I am always trying to make ordinary things interesting.
